This Alpharetta residence receives a complete pool and spa system built for a family that lives outdoors year-round. The design balances daily usability with the ability to host gatherings, anchoring the backyard as the true center of the home.
The pool and spa are positioned to maximize sightlines from the main living spaces while creating distinct zones for swimming, lounging, and entertaining. The spa connects to the pool with a tanning ledge, allowing movement between the two without leaving the water.
Material selection emphasizes durability and low maintenance. The deck surfaces are slip-resistant and designed to handle frequent foot traffic and pool equipment. The spa includes jets positioned for both therapeutic use and social gathering, with lighting that transitions from bright daytime to ambient evening.
The completed space functions as an extension of daily life, not a special-occasion backdrop. The family uses it for morning laps, afternoon shade under nearby structures, and evening entertaining with friends and neighbors.
