Why We Built the Ideabook

Almost every project starts the same way. Someone sits down at our table with a phone full of screenshots. Photos saved from Instagram, a few from Pinterest, a picture of a neighbor's backyard taken from the driveway. They know what they like. What is hard is explaining why they like it.

That is the real problem. A homeowner will show us fifteen photos that look completely different to them and identical to us, or fifteen that look identical to them and completely different to us. The pool in one is a shape. In another it is the stone. In a third it is the way the light hits the water at seven in the evening. Same folder, three different requests, and none of it written down.

What we kept losing

We would have a great conversation, take good notes, and start designing. Then two weeks later a question comes up about coping material, and the photo that answered it is buried in a text thread from a month ago. Multiply that across a build with hundreds of decisions and you understand why projects drift away from what the homeowner originally pictured.

It was never that people did not know what they wanted. It was that there was nowhere to put it.

How the ideabook works

So we built one. Every photo in our gallery has a heart on it. Tap the heart and the photo goes into your ideabook, which is just a private page that belongs to you. You can keep several: one for the pool, one for the fire pit, one for the outdoor kitchen you are thinking about for phase two.

The part that matters most to us is the comments. You can leave a note on any individual photo. Not a general note about the project, a note attached to that specific picture. "I like this coping but not this color." "This is the shape, but we would need it shallower on this end." That comment comes straight to us, connected to the photo it belongs to.

Why we would rather you use it before you call

There is no obligation attached to any of this. You do not need a signed contract or a scheduled appointment to start one. Honestly, the ideabook is most useful before we ever meet, because by the time we sit down we already understand your taste. We are not spending the first hour of a consultation guessing. We are talking about your actual project.
